Wow! There are no words that can capture the life-change that happened on Sunday. One of the many lives that was changed hit really close to home with me. I have a friend I’ve been praying for daily and inviting to church for the past 6months or so. I prayed specifically for him by name when driving in for set up Sunday morning not knowing if he’d even be there. I never saw him there until the invitation time when Pastor JR asked people to come forward. It was an incredible feeling to peek out from behind the backstage curtain and see him walking down the aisle.
Pray Pray Pray!!! I know it’s discouraging when you’re trying so hard to reach people and it feels like you’re gaining no ground. Keep praying and God will do the miraculous. Remember you’re praying to the same God that conquered a tomb. The same God that calmed the raging seas and healed the blind. We’ve seen the miraculous happen time and time again at Freedom Church! Our prayer continues…….”God, do it again”!

Our summer stage design peaked a lot of interest so I thought I’d attach a few pictures. I’ll try to add some pictures of our newest stage design soon. For those of you who feel like you’re working with a limited budget, the below stage design was built for around $150. Let the creative juices flow and you’ll be amazed what you can create without having to spend a ton of money.
Man it felt great to be back at North Cobb High School yesterday. Worship was powerful, the message was life-changing, people accepted Christ and everything just felt like it was “on”. We’re so excited to be geographically positioned in the best place to reach people who are far from God. Sunday was simply a taste and a preview of what God is about to do in this upcoming season of ministry.

It’s easy to rush into prayer with many words. That’s what we were taught as children: To pray for all our relatives and present a list of requests to God. Lately, God has been challenging me with the exact opposite of that. He’s teaching me to come into his presence speechless and in awe of his greatness!
The bible says that Solomon was the wisest man. If God’s word calls him the wisest man then I want to hear what this guy has to say. Listen to excerpts of what Solomon says in Ecclesiastes 5:
Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools……..Do not be quick with your mouth…….God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few…….Therefore stand in awe of God.
If I was being honest I would have to say that the majority of my time before God consists of me talking. Obviously God wants to hear our heart, our passions, our struggles, etc. But he also wants us to come before Him with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:28-29 says,
……and so worship God ACCEPTABLY with reverence and awe.
God’s word says our worship is acceptable when we come before him in awe; with no words. In Romans 8:26 God’s word even says that when we don’t know what to pray for, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf with groans that words cannot express. Our worship is acceptable when our words are few. Check out this video here. Understand that our powerful God created and holds all of that together. Yesterday was the last day of our Launch series and our last day at Barber Middle School. We finished the series by commissioning our people to go out and live the vision of Freedom Church. In the short 2 1/2 years of Freedom’s existence it’s been insane to see how God has used a launch team of 30 people. After this series we’re going out with that same urgency, but this time with 700 people. I believe we are about to enter a season of ministry where we will all see the hand and favor of God in the most powerful way we’ve ever experienced.
